how comes that her hand is in front of her hair in the first pic but then in the second it's behind her hair?

to show the back of the design maybe? actually the back view should have the hair covering the entire torso, not just that hand~ It kinda makes sense to have the hair flipped forward in the second image, since it's a ref sheet.

I don't see where you mentioned the flipping in your comment? Though there's a lot flipped in this image... the front and back of a silhouette are mirror images of each other so the hand is actually correct? I mean if it was an exact copy the character would have fingers on the back of the hand lmao

... now that would be a lovely design
